Daily Open Gym

Open Court Sports Complex is Katy’s premier indoor sports facility and we are ready to serve the community! Our four full-sized hardwood courts can accommodate volleyball, basketball, and other floor sports. Visit us during our daily open gym hours and explore what our facility has to offer. Our family-friendly facility is sure to accommodate guests of all ages.

Daily open gym hours are Monday – Thursday from 8 AM – 4 PM. During this time, we encourage our guests and members to participate in recreational play. Our daily open gym was designed for pick up games, individual skill work, after-school recreational play, and friendly competition. We ask that our guests and members not use the daily open gym hours for private training or rough competitive play. If there is a need for private court time, please contact us and inquire about court rentals. Because our facility is for the community, daily open gym is available for everyone!

Non-members and members are encouraged to take advantage of our daily open gym hours. Although weekday hours for daily open gym vary due to court availability, we strive to offer our guests the best experience when in the facility. Please, contact us for evening and weekend open gym hours.

We do ask that our guests recognize that we are a gum-free facility. Our priority is to offer a clean and safe facility. Our staff needs your help to make this possible. Please, no outside food, drink, or gum. During your visit for daily open gym, take advantage of our Café and vending machines.

Due to COVID-19, if you are visiting Open Court Sports Complex for our daily open gym, expect temperature checks, COVID screenings, and readily available sanitizing stations. To do our part in keeping the community safe, we are no longer lending out basketballs. Please bring your own. See you soon!

To ensure the health and safety of our guests, we ask that everyone follow our COVID policies and procedures; as we all do our part in helping keep the community healthy. At our day program, masks will be worn, sanitization stations are provided, the facility is frequently cleaned, and temperatures are taken upon entry.

Angela Smith-Duncan

Leadership is at the core of our mission at Open Court Sports Complex. We are a woman-owned and veteran-owned facility founded by Angela Smith-Duncan and Andrew Duncan, members of the Katy community who have raised children in the area and recognized the Greater Houston Area’s need for a fun, positive, and motivational space for personal development. The pair know a great deal about personal dedication and development, having contributed a combined 48 years of military service to their country as United States Army Officers and Veterans of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Spartan Shield.

Under our founders’ direction, Open Court Sports Complex is dedicated to serving as a source of mentorship and personal growth in our community, developing professional skills and leadership in young people. Sports are our passion, and we believe they are an ideal vehicle for turning boys and girls into smart, accountable, hard-working young men and women—team players who will become the future leaders of our city, state, and nation.

OCSC’s leadership remains very active in the Katy community, particularly as advocates for disabled veterans and mental wellness. Both volunteer with the Wounded Warrior Project and adaptive sports leagues for disabled athletes.

Open Court’s signature colors are a tribute to disabled veterans: Teal is the color of PTSD awareness, and yellow represents sunshine, which aids in treating clinical depression.
